Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme January 2027 Course must satisfy all eligibility requirements prescribed by the Indian Navy. Only eligible candidates meeting the nationality, marital status, educational qualification, JEE Main, and medical standards criteria will be considered for selection.

Indian Navy B.Tech Cadet Entry 2026 Eligibility Details

NationalityCandidates must fulfill the nationality conditions as prescribed by the Government of India.
Marital StatusOnly unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates who marry during the training period will be discharged from service and will be required to refund the entire cost of training, including pay, allowances, and other expenses incurred by the Government.
Educational QualificationCandidates must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or equivalent from a recognized Board with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). JEE Main 2026 RequirementApplicants must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2026 for B.E./B.Tech admissions. Shortlisting for the SSB Interview will be based on the JEE Main 2026 All India Common Rank List (CRL) published by NTA. Candidates must enter their CRL Rank while filling out the online application form.
Medical StandardsCandidates recommended by the SSB Board must undergo the prescribed medical examination for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Entry Scheme. Narcotics PolicyPossession or consumption of narcotic substances is strictly prohibited. Candidates may be subjected to testing during SSB, medical examination, training, or service. Any candidate found using or possessing narcotics at any stage will be disqualified, debarred from joining, or removed from service as per Navy regulations.

Stage 1: Shortlisting Based on JEE Main 2026 CRL

Naval Headquarters will shortlist candidates based on their performance in JEE (Main) 2026 (B.E./B.Tech Stream).

Stage 2: Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of JEE Main Rank will be called for the SSB Interview.

SSB Interview Centres

SSB Interview Schedule

  • SSB Interviews are likely to commence from September 2026 onwards.

Important Instructions

  • Change of SSB Centre is not permitted under any circumstances.

Travel Allowance

Candidates appearing for SSB Interview for the first time under this entry scheme are eligible for reimbursement of AC 3-Tier Rail Fare.

To claim reimbursement, candidates must carry:

Stage 3: Medical Examination
