The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has released the NHSRCL DE & JE Recruitment 2026 Notification for a total of 209 posts under two separate recruitment notices. The vacancies include 34 Deputy Engineer/Deputy Chief Controller posts and 175 Junior Engineer/Controller/Train Manager/Station Manager posts.
This recruitment is being conducted on an Absorption Basis for eligible serving employees of Indian Railways, Government-owned/operated Railways, Metro Railways, and RRTS organizations. These appointments will support India’s prestigious Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor.

NHSRCL DE & JE Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy all eligibility conditions as on 31 May 2026.
Important Notes
- Eligibility differs for candidates working under IDA and CDA pay scales.
- Experience obtained through teaching, faculty assignments, apprenticeship, internship, proprietorship, partnership, or freelancing will not be considered.
- Only relevant post-qualification experience in eligible organizations will be accepted.

Work Experience
Deputy Engineer Grade (Vacancy Nos. 21–25/2026)
For IDA Pay Scale Employees
Applicants must possess:
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the relevant field.
- Additionally, satisfy any one of the following:
- Currently working in IDA pay scale with minimum basic pay of ₹46,000, OR
- Minimum 2 years in pay scale starting from ₹40,000, OR
- Minimum 5 years in pay scale starting from ₹37,000.
Relevant fields include:
- Civil & Track Maintenance
- Electrical Power Distribution
- Railway Signalling
- Rolling Stock Maintenance
- OCC Operations
For CDA Pay Scale Employees
Candidates must have:
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
- Working in Level-6 (PB-2 + GP ₹4,200)
- Minimum 4 years Group-C service
Special Requirement for Operations Post
For Deputy Chief Controller (Operations)
CDA Candidates
- 5 years supervisory experience in Rolling Stock and Depot Machinery Maintenance.
IDA Candidates
- 5 years supervisory experience in OCC/Station/Train Operations.
- Minimum 2 years as Traffic Controller in a modern OCC.
Important MACP Rule
For CDA candidates, financial upgradation received under MACP will not be considered while determining eligibility. Only the substantive grade will be accepted.
Junior Engineer Grade Experience
Candidates applying for Vacancy Nos. 26–32/2026 must possess:
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
- Experience must be in Operations & Maintenance departments of:
- Indian Railways
- Government Railways
- Metro Railways
- RRTS

Medical Examination
Candidates must satisfy medical standards prescribed under the Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM).

Surety Bond
Selected candidates must execute:
Joining Bond
- Bond Amount: ₹3,00,000
- Minimum Service: 4 Years
- Resignation Notice: 90 Days
Training Bond
If specialized training is provided:
- Separate bond equal to training cost
- Minimum Service Commitment: 6 Years
- Three months’ prior notice before resignation
Probation
- Probation Period: 1 Year
- Posting can be anywhere under NHSRCL or the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project.
Controller & Safety Assignment
Candidates applying for Controller or Safety-related posts must:
- Indicate willingness during application.
