Educational Qualification

Technical Forensic Psychologist

  • Master’s Degree in Criminology OR Clinical Psychology
  • Minimum 3 years experience in applied psychology/crime investigation
  • Desirable qualification: PhD/M.Phil/PG Diploma in Forensic Psychology

Finger Print Expert

  • Master’s Degree in Science/Forensic Science
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with Chemistry as a subject
  • Relevant fingerprint examination experience required

Explosive Expert

  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry
    OR
  • M.Sc Forensic Science with Chemistry at graduation level
  • 5 years experience in explosives/firearms examination

Cyber Forensic Examiner

  • B.E/B.Tech in Computer Engineering/IT

  • MCA/M.Sc/M.Tech in Computer Science/IT
  • Experience in cyber forensics required

Crime Scene Assistant

  • Master’s Degree in:

Selection Process

NIA Scientific Posts Deputation Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

The selection process for National Investigation Agency Scientific Posts Recruitment 2026 will be conducted purely on a Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract – ISTC) basis. There will be no written exam for this recruitment.

Candidates must currently be working in Central Government, State Government, Union Territory departments, forensic laboratories, police organizations, or other eligible government institutions.
