The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the notification for the Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) / Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2025 under Notice No. 4/4/2026-CONF-5. Through this departmental examination, SSC aims to fill 149 Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted vacancies across 12 participating Central Government departments and cadres.
The online application process started on 05 June 2026 and will remain open until 26 June 2026 (11:00 PM). Unlike regular SSC recruitments, this examination is strictly limited to eligible in-service Group ‘C’ and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) employees of participating departments. Candidates from the general public are not eligible to apply.
The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is tentatively scheduled for July-August 2026 and will be conducted exclusively in the Delhi-NCR region.

Candidates who challenge the provisional answer key after the examination may be required to pay ₹50 per question challenged. This amount is separate from the application process and is non-refundable.

Once APAR evaluation is completed, requests for modification are generally not entertained.
Selection is conducted in multiple stages.

Only candidates qualifying Paper-II will have their Paper-I evaluated.
Candidates shortlisted after written examination proceed for evaluation of service records and APAR grading.
