SSC JSA / LDC LDCE Recruitment 2025-26

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the notification for the Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) / Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2025 under Notice No. 4/4/2026-CONF-5. Through this departmental examination, SSC aims to fill 149 Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted vacancies across 12 participating Central Government departments and cadres.

The online application process started on 05 June 2026 and will remain open until 26 June 2026 (11:00 PM). Unlike regular SSC recruitments, this examination is strictly limited to eligible in-service Group ‘C’ and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) employees of participating departments. Candidates from the general public are not eligible to apply.

The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is tentatively scheduled for July-August 2026 and will be conducted exclusively in the Delhi-NCR region.

This recruitment is not an open competitive examination.

Eligible Candidates

Candidates can apply only if:

  • They are regular Group ‘C’ employees or Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).
  • They belong to one of the 12 participating cadres.
  • They have completed at least 3 years of regular service.
  • They have passed Class 12th from a recognized board.
  • Their application is forwarded through the proper departmental channel.

Not Eligible

Candidates are not eligible if:

  • They are unemployed or private-sector employees.
  • They do not belong to the notified cadres.
  • Their application is not forwarded through the Head of Office/Department.
  • They fail to satisfy the service eligibility conditions.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed:

  • 12th Standard / Higher Secondary Examination
  • From a recognized Board or equivalent institution

Service Requirement

Applicants should possess:

  • Minimum 3 years of regular service
  • Group ‘C’ or MTS post in Level-1 (Grade Pay ₹1,800)
  • Service counted as per cadre-specific crucial date

Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level-2 under the 7th CPC.

Selection is conducted in multiple stages.

Only candidates qualifying Paper-II will have their Paper-I evaluated.
